19 Jan What is a Daily Serving of CBD?
Of all the questions we receive at HempMeds, one in particular frequently tops the list: how much CBD should I take each day?
Unfortunately, there is no standardized answer to this question. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is responsible for creating any Recommended Daily Intake (RDI), defined as the daily levels of a nutrient sufficient enough to meet the requirements of 97-98 percent of healthy individuals in the U.S. However, they have not created an RDI for suggested daily servings.
In order to comply with FDA regulations, HempMeds® does not list an RDI of our own, nor do we provide a Daily Value (%DV) for any of our products. Rather, we recommend our customers do their own research from a source they can trust and consult their doctor or specialist to determine their own ideal daily CBD levels.
Once you decide on your own target CBD number, the HempMeds® team can start in helping you determine which hemp oil supplements are right for you. HempMeds® offers products with a range of CBD serving sizes – from the 1 mg of CBD per serving in our 1 oz Dixie Botanicals® tinctures to our 120 mg per serving RSHO™ Gold Label pure hemp oil oral applicators. You can also mix and match our products in your chosen supplement regimen to achieve your target CBD level each day.
Typically, our CBD hemp oil products come in three potency levels. With our lowest concentration of CBD per serving, between 1 and 3 mg, our hemp oil tinctures are an ultra portable way to add small amounts of CBD to your system throughout the day. Our medium range products, like our RSHO™ Liquid and our hemp oil capsules, are excellent once or twice daily additions to your diet, offering 31 and 25 mg of CBD, respectively. Finally, our RSHO™ oral applicators provide our highest levels of CBD, between 50 and 120 mg, depending on the label color you choose.
When starting any new supplement routine, it is suggested you start low and go slow. Once you determine the CBD levels you’d like to achieve each day, start below that number and work your way up, taking a larger serving every few weeks. When you hit your predetermined daily serving size, you can decide if you’d like to continue increasing or stay where you are. This will help you dial in the daily CBD serving that works best for you.
